Susan Bennetts Obituary

Susan Cathleen Bennetts was born April 3, 1938 in Gary, Indiana to Robert and Helen (Burks) Breen. She passed away in Duncan on February 26, 2020, at the age of 81.

There are no services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Susan was a 1956 graduate of Our Lady of Victory Catholic High School. She married Leonard Bomkamp in 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas. To this union eight children were born. She later married Michael Bennetts in 1996 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death in 2014.

She was employed as a bank teller. Susan enjoyed gardening and playing board games, especially Wahoo. She loved to go fishing with Mike in Wisconsin. She loved her pets, especially her black Lab, Annie. Her children and grandchildren were loved by her immensely.

Susan is survived by her children: Danny Bomkamp of Carlinville, Illinois, Patrick and wife Beth Bomkamp of Evansville, Indiana, Jeff and wife Beth Bomkamp of Land O'Lakes, Florida, Michael and wife Stacy Bomkamp of Savannah, Georgia, Mary and husband Bill Leyrer of Duncan, Robert Bomkamp of Navasota, Texas, Tommy and wife Elizabeth Bomkamp of Rockwall, Texas, and Rebecca and husband Carlous Munguia of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren: John Bomkamp, Jane and husband Corey Mason, Katherine and husband Chad Wheeley, Sarah Bomkamp, Matthew Bomkamp, Ava Bomkamp, Dexter Leyrer, Rachel and husband Justin Speegle, Taviana and husband Daniel Babiarz, Brooklyn Bomkamp, Makenzie Bomkamp, Whitnee Bomkamp, Travis Bomkamp, Andrew Bomkamp, Tara Bomkamp, and Lillie Bomkamp; 5 great grandchildren; brothers: Robert Breen and Micheal Breen; and sisters: Margaret Breen and Judy Keene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bennetts; parents, Robert and Helen Breen; and brother, Bill Breen.
