Terry Ray Doughty Obituary

Terry Ray Doughty, 66, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Oklahoma City. He was born January 13, 1959, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Raymond and Ora Mae (Pelley) Doughty.

Terry graduated from Chickasha High School in 1977. He worked alongside his dad Raymond for years at Ray's Radiator shop that he then took over once Raymond retired. After closing the radiator shop, Terry began a long and dedicated career in the oil industry. He went from a Driller, Pusher to a Superintendent /Tool Pusher, roles in which he earned the respect of colleagues through his strong work ethic, steady leadership, and knowledge of the field.

Outside of work, Terry was happiest in the great outdoors. He loved hunting, camping and spending time in nature-whether close to home or on trips to two of his favorite places, Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and Broken Bow, Oklahoma. These trips were a source of peace, adventure, and countless memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Heather Doughty.

Terry is survived by his wife, Tammy Howell, and his son, Derek Doughty and wife Leah along with 8 grandchildren. Other survivors include brothers: Russell Doughty and wife Kim, Jimmy Doughty and wife Sara, along with several other family members.
