Terry Glenn Whaley Sr., 85, of Duncan, Oklahoma, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was born on September 11, 1940, in Loco, Oklahoma, to Horton and Evalena (Downs) Whaley.
Terry was a hardworking man who spent his career as a tile setter in construction, a trade he took pride in and genuinely enjoyed. His craftsmanship and steady work ethic were hallmarks of his life.
Faith was central to Terry's heart. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Duncan, Oklahoma, where he cherished fellowship. Terry found joy in sharing his musical gifts. He was an avid guitar player and a songwriter, often expressing his spirit and creativity through the music he made.
In 1959, Terry married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Barnett. Together they built a strong and loving family, raising three children: Terresa, Terry Jr., and Tony. Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother-steadfast, kind, and deeply committed to those he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his children: Terresa Stanley, Terry Whaley Jr. and wife Frankie, and Tony Whaley and wife Julie; his grandchildren: Tristan Dennington, Shobey Stanley, Camille Schmidt, Celia Monroe, Lujack Whaley, Jared Whaley, Jody Whaley, Tanya Olheiser, Trace Whaley; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Mike Whaley; sister, Judy Garland; and brother-in-law, Daniel Payne.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Horton and Evalena; brothers: Earl Whaley, Mike Finley, Danny Finley, and Tim Whaley.
