Theresa Darlene Franklin

Theresa Darlene Franklin, 54, was born October 14, 1968 in Marlow, OK to Veral Joe and Margie Lorene (Morris) Blue. She completed her earthly journey on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at her home in Duncan with her family at her side.

The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, October 4, between 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for Thursday, October 5, at 10 A.M. at Liberty Baptist Church, 1555 Fuller Road, Duncan, with Jim Allen officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Franklin, Neil Franklin, James Hopson, Marty Kaus, Jason McNutt, and Cory Kerbo; honorary pallbearers are Ron Peel, Terry Shoemaker, Chris Shoemaker, Thomas Shoemaker, Earl Blue Peel, and Jimmy Joe Kerbo. Interment will follow at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.

She graduated from Duncan High School with the class of 1987. She married Raymond Franklin on January 1, 1994 in Duncan. She enjoyed playing bingo and going on cruises. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Theresa Franklin poured love and laughter into countless children's lives throughout her career as a childcare provider. She loved getting to know all of the children and always knew exactly what to say to brighten their day. It brought her great joy to pour that excitement into others, especially the children she cared for. She will be greatly missed in the lives of everybody she came into contact with.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Roy Kerbo, Theresa is survived by her husband, Raymond Franklin; daughters: Tiffania Darlene Franklin, Faith Sanchez and husband Ben Ashlock, all of Duncan; and granddaughter, Mary Sanchez. She is also survived by her sisters: Marilyn Kerbo, Karen Shoemaker and husband Terry, Tammy Kaus and husband Marty, and Mary Peel and husband Ron; and many other family members.
