Thomas Dean Joy Sr. was born September 5, 1950, in Batavia, New York to Salvatore Santo Joy Sr. and Mildred (Jackett) Vega. He passed away in Duncan, Oklahoma on October 23, 2024. He was 74.

There are no services pending at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Throughout his life, Thomas worked as a mechanic and truck driver. He could fix just about anything. He enjoyed spending time working on engines, rebuilding an RV camper, flying RC airplanes, and racing cars in the jalopy class. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and was an avid Nascar fan with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sheila Joy; and brother, George Joy. Survivors include his children: Deborah Aymong, Thomas Joy Jr. and wife Laura Powell-Joy, Angela Fuller and husband Travis Williams; stepson, Mack Carr and wife Samantha; 10 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; brothers: Salvatore Joy Jr. and Christopher Joy; and a host of other relatives.
