Vanelle Whatley Kazimir was born on November 6, 1942, in Pampa, Texas to Elzie Whatley and Vanna (Marrs) Bradley. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the age of 82.
A graveside service is being planned for Saturday, February 8, in Shamrock, Texas. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Vanelle grew up in Lela, Pampa, Oklahoma City, Norman, Noble, Duncan and Marlow. She made caring for people her job and worked as an LPN for over 30 years at the JD McCarty Children's Center. She will be remembered for the love and care she provided to everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Bradley James Daberry; brother, James Whatley; and a nephew, Brett Whatley.
Survivors include her children: Leesa Gentry (Mike) of Oklahoma City, OK, Anja McDonald (Brook) of Duncan, Dudley Craig Daberry (Jocy) of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren: Chuck Gentry (Jenna), Tom Gentry, Brandt McDonald, Macy McDonald, Baylor McDonald, Mia Daberry, Dillon Daberry; great-grandchildren: Evelyn Gentry, Mary Gentry; and niece, Dana Williams.
