Veronica Catherine Carpenter was born March 5, 1950 in Baltimore City, Maryland to Timothy and Adeline (Barrett) Goonan. She passed away at her home in Marlow on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 with her family at her side.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 6, at the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel. A live stream of her services will be available by visiting her obituary at www.whittfh.com. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Veronica was employed as a cook. She loved to cook and she made the best lasagna. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and playing Farkle. Her favorite time was when she was spending it with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Timothy, Allen, and Jimmy. Veronica is survived by her son, Bobby Ray Jordan and wife Kristen of Cave Springs, Arkansas; daughter, Kristi Poole and significant other Jennifer Taylor of Marlow; and six grandchildren: Brennan Jordan, Lexi Jordan, Kyler Jordan, Taylor Jordan, Teaira Jordan, and Dylan Poole. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jacki McDaniel and partner, Ronnie Cole; special friend, Paul Stairs of Lawton; and the father of her children, Larry Carpenter, of Burkburnett, TX.
