Veronica Ann Miranda, of Duncan, Oklahoma, was born November 14, 1930 in Oakland, California to Elmer and Angelina (Mendoza) Pereira. She passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the age of 92.
Veronica was a loving, caring mother. Her pride in her family was evident. As a young woman, she worked in the school meal program. Her career spanned 30 years. Veronica filled her later years volunteering at two hospitals in Fremont, California. She also helped in the local tattoo clinic. Veronica's volunteer career spanned thousands of hours and earned her many honor pins and certificates of achievement. She prided herself on her record of attendance over her years of service. Veronica enjoyed bowling, knitting, reading and her volunteer responsibilities. She was known to her friends as Ronnie. All her friends and co-workers loved her.
Veronica was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 54 years, Frederick F. Miranda; daughter, Diane Miranda; brother, Elmer Pereira.
She is survived by her children: Frederick Miranda, Veronica Cordero, Catherine Jacobs, Daniel Miranda; and one sister, Rose Marie Lewis. Veronica was a proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all her family and friends! Love you Mom!
Family wishes are that Veronica be cremated with ashes returned to California to be with family. No local service is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
