Vesta Boone Obituary
Vesta Pearl Boone, of Kountze, Texas, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025. She was born on March 21, 1936, in Stecker, Oklahoma to Walter Scott Franklin and Louise Falk Franklin.
On January 23, 1953, she married her sweetheart Curby Dan Boone. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother! She was a Christian woman and a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Kountze.
She is survived by her sons: Curby Randall Boone and wife Evelyn of Stecker, Oklahoma, Earl Wayne Boone and wife Kileen of Round Rock, Texas; her daughters: Rhonda Lynn Barner and husband James of Kountze, Texas, Gena Louise Cryer and husband Thomas of Kountze, Texas; and grandchildren: Amanda Bones/Shannon, Aaron Boone, Emily Loftin, Randi Ownbey/Mitch, Ethan Boone/Alyson, Kenna Cryer, Karlee Darnell/David, Eric Bailey/Heather, David Bailey/Candice, Danielle Harris/Steve. There are also 20 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren!
Vesta was preceded in death by her 2 parents; her soulmate Curby D. Boone; sister Helen Denton; and brothers: Joseph Huffman, Ben Franklin, Earl Franklin, Paul Franklin.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 28, at 1:30 P.M. at the Apache First Baptist Church with Jon Syverson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Curby Boone, Earl Boone, Shannon Bones, Robert Harris, Mitch Ownbey, Aaron Boone, and Eric Bailey Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
