Wesley Ernie Winslett was born November 2, 1956, in Colgate, Oklahoma to Hayden and Noma Lee (Bowen) Winslett. He passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, in Duncan at the age of 67.

The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, July 30, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. A funeral service is planned for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 31, at Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Mike McCord officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Addington Cemetery at a later date. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jerry Lindesmith, Michael Lindesmith, Charles Winslett, Wesley Allen Winslett, Kevin Lindesmith, and Casey Lindesmith.

Wesley graduated from Comanche High School and attended Murray State College. Throughout his life, he worked in the oilfield and as a bus driver and janitor for Grandview Public Schools. Wesley was a card-holding PRCA bull rider and also broke horses. In his free time, Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and rodeos, and he loved his animals. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Sullivan; parents, Hayden and Noma Lee Winslett; brother, Merl Winslett; sister, Alma Lindesmith; brother-in-law, Ralph Lindesmith; and niece, Heather Phillips.

Survivors include his children: Rachel Winslett Mueller and husband Darrell of Tennessee, Raquel Winslett and husband Will, Chance Winslett and wife Mallory, Lance Winslett and wife Kaylee all of Duncan; grandchildren: Dusty Walker, Shiann Walker, Hannah Winslett, Hayden Winslett, Case Webb, Cole Webb, Stratton Winslett, and Raelynn Winslett; and the mother of his children, Sheila Cale. Other survivors include a brother, Allen Winslett and wife Kalene of Denison, Texas; sisters: Stella Lindesmith of Waurika, OK and Edith Phillips and husband Jack of Duncan; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his faithful dog, Lucky.
