William Floyd "Bill" Gibbs was born February 6, 1944 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Floyd and Fannie Belle (Scruggs) Gibbs. He passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the age of 81.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 24, from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. A funeral service is planned for 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 25 at Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow in Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Chuck Fritschow, Chad Brenneis, Chaz Fritschow, Cannon Brenneis, Jimmy Farris, and Chris Scott. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Woolf, Buck Sager, Jessie Scruggs, Junior Shannon, Lynn Hedrick, Warner Triby, Yankie White, and Ricky Riddles.

Bill married Mary Louise "Dinky" Seymour on January 27, 1963. Together they raised two children, Gaydeane and Kasey. Bill was an excellent handyman and mechanic. He worked in the truck shop at Halliburton for 37 years plus 3 more years of contract work. After his retirement, he started each day with a trip to Burger King, then to check on the squirrels at the park, and finally for a sno cone at the sno cone stand. He also enjoyed visiting the family farm and fishing. On the first Friday of each month, Bill enjoyed getting together and catching up with his friends and family from Halliburton over breakfast. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them especially going to Mexican restaurants with his girls. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his children: Gaydeane Fritschow and husband Chuck, Kasey Brenneis and husband Chad; grandchildren: Chaz and wife Kas Fritschow, Kaleigh and husband Jimmy Farris, Breeana and husband Chris Scott, Cannon Brenneis; and great-grandchildren: Deklan Farris, Broly Fritschow, Kynadi Farris, Crislynn Scott, Lilah Scott, Zalen Scott, Drake Farris, and Brixlee Scott. Other survivors include a brother, Victor Gibbs; and sisters-in-law: Anna Seymour and Yolanda Gibbs.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; brothers: Roger Gibbs, Carl Gibbs; and brother-in-law, Kindle Seymour.
